I would like to take this opportunity to enlighten you to why I have been a patient with you and the wonderful outcome of my treatment. Thank you most sincerely for everything you have done for me Dr Barnes. I know I still have to continue my medication for a further 3 years, but just to know that in your option that my cancer seems to be cured is enough for me.

First of all I found out about your treatment when my wife spoke to a local Homeopath who gave her a list of Drs and your name was at the top. I made my appointment with you approximately 18 months ago and never looked back.

The nursing and administration staff were wonderful throughout the many visits I had. They were so friendly and caring. I felt my experience to be one of great commitment from everyone to make these visits as stress free as possible.

When I was first diagnosed with cancer there were many emotions running through me. I was shocked, scared of the unknown and apprehensive of what lay in store for me in the future.

My first three months of selenium base intravenous treatment took a little getting used to but didn’t take too long to feel comfortable, this was followed by an oral combination of natural treatment. I can honestly say I felt relaxed, happy and secure in the knowledge that I could not be in better hands than yours Dr Barnes.

I really can’t fault the professionalism and caring attitude from you and your staff, therefore I really don’t see any way to improve on Resort to Health, you have covered all aspects of how a patient is treated with respect as an individual.

I would be very pleased if you use this testimonial for the benefit of promoting Resort to Health. I have spoken to many people from different walks of life about you and your treatment and would be at the forefront of recommending you and your establishment.

My Cancer:

In mid 2007, approaching my 65th year, I was forced to retire early due to collapsing L3 spinal disk.

During subsequent surgery to fuse L2, L3 and L4 discs, a malignant tumour was found in L3 and I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (bone cancer).

Following the surgery and subsequent radio therapy, my haematologist recommended I undertake a course of chemotherapy!!

An Alternate Path:

My wife and I did a good deal of personal research into possible treatment paths.
Having witnessed the results achieved by a family member and a number of friends and acquaintances following alternative nutritional natural cancer treatment by Dr William Barnes of Resort to Health in South Fremantle, I decided to book a consultation.

In November 2007, accompanied by my wife Joyce, I attended the consultation.

Dr Barnes’ refreshingly open and down to earth manner in answering all our questions with straight forward, easy to understand explanations, opened up a choice of treatment options, all of which were supported by Dr Barnes; over 25 years of research and backed up by currently published international research into all the components of my proposed treatment protocol.
All this information was made freely available to us.

The Path Followed:

We decided to go down the alternative nutritional natural cancer treatment path.

Also, after having researched the use of Thalidomide as an initial cancer treatment instead of the traditional chemotherapy path, which would “crash” my immune system, I advised my haematologist that the Thalidomide path was the one I wished to follow.
This Thalidomide treatment made for better implementation of William’s treatment.

My treatment:

I began my individualised oral protocol in November 2007 with the anti-cancer herbs; this has been ongoing, with occasional dosage adjustments.

From the outset we followed the recommendations of William’s dietary consultant, Kerry.

From mid April through to mid July, 2008, I underwent additional treatment at Resort to Health 3 times a week intravenous (IV) protocol.

Results:

By November 2008, monthly blood tests revealed my paraproteins had dropped from an initial reading of 23, down to 1.
A supplementary bone marrow biopsy in mid June 2008, revealed that readings had dropped from the original of 30% down to 5%.

Effectively….I am in remission!!

All this time, there is no cure for Multiple Myeloma; but with Dr Barnes’ support, my cancer will continue to be controlled and I will enjoy a good quality of life for a long time to come.

Joyce and I thank you William.

I was absolutely devastated when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in early 2001.

At that time I was offered radiation therapy which proved to be unsuccessful and actually created other problems – my uretha was damaged which now needs a stent which has to be replaced every four months.

I heard about Resort To Health and Dr William Barnes through word of mouth. A renowned Brisbane football referee, Barry Gomersall, experience great results after a course of treatment at the clinic.

My first contact with the clinic was per telephone and after talking to Dr Barnes I felt confident about the course of treatment that was being offered to.

The treatment wasn’t uncomfortable and I felt pretty good throughout apart from some tiredness.

The support my wife and I received from Dr Barnes and the nursing and administration staff was excellent.

It was an uplifting to share the experience with other patients undergoing treatment at the clinic and I made many good friends. It was good to be able to discuss my problems with others with similar complaints.

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer Dr Tim Nathan, Director Nambour General Hospital on the Sunshine Coast QLD, following a biopsy of the prostate in late 2006.

At that time I was very fit – training and competing in Masters Athletics track and field events.

I had to have a total proctatechmomy and I was offered Brachy Therapy Radiation. No other treatment options were offered By Dr Nathan due to the high risk of other treatments resulting in a stoma bag.

Dr Stevenson prescribed two courses of antibiotics to lower my elevating PSA which initially reduced the PSA levels. However, another course of antibiotics later in the year failed to reduce the PSA.

When I was first diagnosed I started taking Blueberry Punch (recommended by Barry Gomersall and Sydney University Report) and my PSA remained stable from December 2006 to March 2007.

I heard about Resort To Health through telephone conversation with Barry Gomersall.

After talking to Dr Barnes I felt very positive and looked forward hopefully to successful treatment.

I didn’t notice any side effects from the treatment and generally felt very good other than some tiredness in the afternoons.

I found the staff to be terrific. The clinic provided a wonderful opportunity to discuss my problem withy other men in a similar situation. The camaderie between staff and all clients was exceptionally good under the circumstances. Evening social  gatherings were an added bonus!

I was very surprised when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in January 2007.

The results of the hormone and radium treatment I underwent are unknown at this stage.

Dr Tabrizian, a general practitioner who specializes in nutritional medicine, referred me to Dr Barnes and I left my first consultation with him feeling very hopeful.

I found the treatment regime quite uncomfortable and tiring but the support from the nursing staff was excellent.

An added bonus was being able to share my experience with other patients which I found to be helpful and positive.

I felt very challenged when I was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004.

My initial treatment was with Femara and Dexmethsone. I later decided to pursue an alternative treatment and went to see Dr Igor Tabrizian who referred me to Dr William Barnes.

After talking to Dr Barnes I felt that I had some other options for the treatment of my cancer.

Since commencing the treatment with Dr Barnes I have been most impressed with the ambience and professionalism of the clinic. The nursing and administration staff are friendly, informative, attentive and very efficient. The atmosphere of the clinic is purposeful yet relaxed and gives me full confidence in the treatment I’m receiving. The clinic is small enough for patients to receive individual attention at all times and is is small enough to allow informal contact with other patients which (is) can be mutually beneficial.

All in all I feel I got very creative treatment in very pleasant surroundings among very caring people.
